how to setup ymail.net smtp server setting

Ymail is an email service provided by Yahoo! Group which is used to send and receive emails from all around the world. Anyone can create their ymail id. Ymail was one of the earliest email services that were used by masses all round the world along with Hotmail. Ymail is Yahoo's official email service and is very easily used in SMTP server settings.

It is a set of rules that govern how emails will be sent to across the world. You can think of SMTP as a internet address for any email id from where you can send and receive your emails. It is like a postal address at which the email will be sent and received from the internet.

For different email server's addresses, there are different SMTP settings. If you have Gmail, your SMTP settings will be different than Ymail. You can find these SMTP address for your respective email server from the internet.

To set SMTP settings for ymail you have to follow the steps below:

Step 1) Open your device and tap on settings

Step 2) Search for Post-box in your Settings.

Step 3) In Post-box, go to Privacy and then go to IMAP settings. For incoming mails, type Server name as imap.mail.yahoo.com and Pert no as 993. Select Yes in Requires SSL field. Now type your yahoo email address for instance abcdef@yahoo.com where abcdef is your ymail id.

Step 4) For outgoing mails, type Server name as smtp.mail.yahoo.com and Port no as 587. Select Yes in Requires SSL field. Now type your yahoo email address for instance abcdef@yahoo.com where abcdef is your ymail id. Select Requires authentication as Yes
